SDHC Video Cards Perfect for Capturing High-Definition Video
London, UK: Kingston Digital Europe Ltd, a subsidiary of Kingston Digital Inc, announced that it is releasing a line of Secure Digital High-Capacity (SDHC) Video cards for use in digital camcorders. Overcoming the problems consumers face in estimating how much recording time is available, the Kingston SDHC Video cards’ capacities are described on the packaging with the approximate recording time in minutes and is available in 60 (4GB), 120 (8GB) and 240 (16GB) minutes.
“The demand for larger storage is growing in importance as digital camcorder use is increasing, especially with more consumers shooting high definition videos,” said Kirsty Miller, Product marketing manager - Consumer, Kingston Digital Europe Ltd. “The concept of releasing the new cards is driven by the increased usage of HD-capable flash-memory-based camcorders and hybrid camcorders that contain both hard drives and card slots. The Kingston SDHC Video cards are perfect for high definition camcorders, making them ideal for capturing 1080i High Definition recording. They can also be used in recording standard video and work in digital still cameras that have video capabilities or even MP3 players”.
The Kingston SDHC Video cards now available feature a Class 4 speed rating, which guarantees a minimum data transfer rate of 4MB/sec., making for efficient transfer speeds of files to a PC. They also come with the Kingston lifetime warranty.
The SDHC Video Card 8GB and 16GB capacities will be shipping in EMEA within the first quarter of 2009.
