Interxion to Sponsor Largest Web Hosting Event in Europe

Interxion, a leading European operator of carrier-neutral data centres, today announced its diamond sponsorship of the fifth annual Webhosting Day, Europe’s largest web hosting event. Webhosting Day will be take place between 18th and 20th March 2009 at Phantasialand in Bruehl, Germany.

As part of its support for the event, Interxion will also be presenting two industry leaders at the conference to discuss the latest challenges facing the sector.

Anthony Foy, Interxion Group Managing Director, will be presenting a session assessing the impact of the credit crunch on European infrastructure hosting strategies. He will be discussing the ‘build or buy’ debate and highlighting how organisations can benefit from reduced capital expenditure and increased availability in a shared infrastructure environment. Lex Coors, Interxion VP Data centre Technology and Engineering, will outline how organisations can optimise their data centre efficiency by improving power usage efficiency (PUE) ratios and discuss best practice procedure.
